Just came back from the concert, though i bought the cheapest seats, but we were "upgraded" to the "next level" ..... well....i must say this caused a confusion as to where we were supposed to sit, cos one moment, the usher said its free seating....but then the truth is...not so...cos there were others who actually bought tickets for that particular seats we took....ended up, its only the limited few rows that we were allowed to "free sit".... well....i guess its kind of lucky to get the "upgraded" seats..so no complains from me...but i witnessed this guy....he also bought the same ticket price as me and therefore was also upgraded as well...and guess what, he ended up scolding the usher for changing his seat! and that the organiser did not bother to update him at all!! wah!!! he think he super duper big fxxx...made up a fuss over there...and oh...he was watching with his sis...as to y i know they were bro&sis, well....they were raising their voices...what the hell man! anyway, when the concert started, they were like started to shift from seats to seats, to get the best of the best seats...

the concert was good as expected...no one will doubt his singing live ability, and there were songs that really can sing along with him...the atmosphere was super high, esp during the rock n roll segments...though my date she complained that the music was too noisy...and that she was trying to stay awake, not that the concert was boring...but because she woke up early this morning...

hard candy

rushed to the cd shop after work today to get a copy of madonna's new album "hard candy"....as the cd is being played on my player, here i am doing up this blog entry....the player is playing track 6 now...and so far....am loving all the tracks in the album, so far...oohh,...i bought mariah carey's new album as well together just now...haven't listen to it yet.....

last sat match against man city was really a heart in my mouth affair...2-0 down at half time....when the 2nd go went in, i thought, the team's epl fate is doomed and dusted....however, with 20mins more to full time, who would imagine such a great comback to actually win the game at 3-2?? perhaps the team is not to be relegated after all? really hope the team can pull off 2 more remaining wins and the other results go with the team....fingers crossed...

watched the movie today...its about this father who relates his 3 past relations with 3 women and the daughter guesses who the mother is..... a rather light hearted love story :)

Cai Chin

bought these 4 cai chin's cds today.....they are re-mastered from those old black vinyl records into cds and re-released ...wow....power leh....new songs today simply cannot be compared with older songs...just take any of these cds, i'm sure its more listenable than any of the new albums today!! really!! Although i'm not a die hard fan of her, but her voice is simply awesome...just ask those who are home sound system fantics....whose cds will they play when they test the system? i'm sure her cds will pop out very often....hmmm....nice nice....

untraceable

had a day's off yesterday...woke up later than usual on a wednesday morning (yes...it was still morning when i woke up, although it was fast approaching noon already). had lunch at the nearby coffeeshop and went to tbp to see if there's any show for me to catch....decided on untraceable as i saw the preview shots previously, looked quite ok.....its basically about how this serial killer killed his targets by the number of viewers to his site. The more viewers logging on to his site, the faster his victims will die....hmm...its a not too bad movie, and also being on a wednesday afternoon, the tickets was cheaper than usual and the number of people watching the same movie as me was countable (besides a couple sitting behind me, there are 3 others) so practically we had the whole cinema to ourselves....

after the movie, went to the vcd/dvd shop and bought a dvd series...its the continuation of the devils' kiss (i dunno whats the english translation for this show) but its by my fav lin yi cheng and zheng yuan chang..its a continuation from the previous part 1 and is abt the life of them after marriage....managed to watch 3 episodes and its a very light hearted show/comedy...(of cos i enjoyed the "mistakes" & actions made by lin yi cheng...very funny one, u know)

thats how i spent my 1 day of rot ......

oh well....fulham failed to win yet again on the road and handed the magpies their first win under kevin keegan...well, well, well....with 7 games remaining, really hope the team can get a string of wins under their belts, starting with an away win to derby on the coming weekend? Its really a die die must win game, if not, then the future of the club looks doomed....derby's gone to the championship for sure, bolton shld also be on its way....so its really a fight between us and birmingham for the third team to get relegated. Sunderland has edged further, though its still quite possible to catch up with them...hope the team can stick together right now and fight for every remaining games....

Annie Yi Neng Jing...

these are some of my annie's collections...i remember the very first album (it was cassette tapes at that time!) was hers, titled "the last day of 19 yrs old" when i was in primary sch!!....the reason y i was so attracted by her is because of her very japanese appeal....if anyone can rem, in the mid 80s, japanese idols were very popular then....i remember my cousins were so crazy with some japanese singers or groups....and i liked annie's voice since then, cos firstly her voice sounded so cute....and also her songs were pretty catchy for me & also her stage costume were all designed by her....not only that, most of the lyrics in her albums were all penned by her...that showed how much her boss then, liu wen zheng, had trust in her works and ideas....i remember she frequent s'pore alot during those days, together with fang wenlin & qiu hai zheng....and were popular back then..

even right now as i am writing this new post, am listening to her songs, ....actually can remember how my classmate actually made fun of annie!! :X cos of the songs....her voice....but i hack care back then even though subsequently there were some singers who tried to follow annie's style, but failed....her singing career may not be that bright during the mid 90s due to the fate that she wanted to "grow up" and venture into singing songs which she had never dare to think of previously, ..but at least she could stand proud and say that she did try ....till now, i think there's still no one really who could replace her as one of the pop princess icon of the late 80s....though she has grown matured, and is already a mother to one son, she can still pose as someone in her mid 20s, even though she is already in her late 30s??!!

looking forward to her new album, which should be out sometime this year, in 2008...which would be produced by kenji wu ke qun.... :)

songs from the 80s.....

yesterday bought 2cds....both were singers who "accompany" me grow up, namely yi neng jing & zhang yu sheng....

pretty excited about these 2 cds, especially the zhang yu sheng one....it comes in a very big cardboard box....it comes with a booklet which detailed the works & compositions of zhang yu sheng, abt 8 or 9 cds which totals to 100+ songs!! and also a dvd which shows a few of his mtvs...i haven't really listen to it proper, but it consists of 1 cd of his demo works & speeches....and the rest are all songs sang by him and other singers...though am abit disaapointed that not all his songs are included in the collection (namely those from the UFO label)...but still so many songs...can occupy me 2 days even listening to them! :P

the other cd which i bought is yi neng jing's....though i already have all the songs by her, but then i bought it just to support her :P & also to collect lor....heard that they actually wanted to ask her to record some speech in this collection..but then think due to time constraint, they decided to do away with it....they decided to rush her cd out so that they can advertise this with eric moo's...good news for eric moo, his collection which i mentioned in my earlier post, sold pretty well in s'pore....:) looking forward to more "old hits" from fame....there will be more....fang wenlin, qiu haizheng, the 3 little eagles collection (bing fen ji) & another collection of eric moo (mainly the less popular songs) will all be released in the coming months!! wohoo!!!

Ah Long Pte Ltd

Went to watch Ah Long Pte Ltd on Sunday...actually wanted to watch the other 2 movies instead rather than this movie. but my fren had already seen the other 2..so no choice have to watch this one...the reason y i dun really want to watch this, or rather i rank this as my least priority to watch, is becos of the cast...yah..to me, fann wong and mark lee doesn't appear interesting to me...would rather watch the stephen chow's funny cute looking alien and/or jay chow's spectacular slam dunks.....

i wouldn't say Ah Long Pte Ltd isnt that bad lah....but then really, i just simply go in and had a few laughs....(at mark's m'sia accent chinese, the durian-aka-shaolin soccer match)...other than that i think the movie can be forgotten....hmm...will still be on leave tomorrow...must make it a point to watch the other 2 movies....in fact i heard cj7 is rather touching...hmm....

recently the entertainment news is full of the edison pics issues...hmm....guess its really not safe to take those "personal intimate" pics at all....u never know where and how the pics will flow to....in fact today, Gillian held a press conference to address the issue since the issue is made known...well....i'm not against taking these pics and im sure there are couples doing it. but its just so that edison being a public figure, the issue is blown up...ohh..talking abt this, i saw a video of our "beloved" Steven Lim...omg!!....err...if anyone happen to accidentally find the video & curious to watch, please...watch it at yr own risk...haha...cant imagine during our school days, he used to be the quiet guy...he was not so "well built" then, can turn out to be so ____......incidentally, he is also in the same army unit as me!!...

1 more day to be back in the office...the hols certainly fly passed....looking forward to the next ph already....which is Good Fri in march....(that's far away!!) :P

1st win....

yeah.....Fulham got the first win under new manager, Roy Hodgson....hope the new year, a new beginning for Fulham (although its chinese new year..)...Lets work towards safety, Fulham!!

Eric Moo

this is the cd which i bought recently during my visit to the cd store. its not a new album from eric moo...but a collection of hits from the m'sian-born-s'pore singer..in it are 3 cds...2 cds are basically hits from his days in Fame records...i find this is the time i really like his songs when he was in Fame. The songs were more "listenable" than even his pre-Fame days and even post-Fame days. although you may argue that in later days he had hits like "tai4 sha3", but its the songs during the Fame period that sounded more refreshing...i remember one of my female cousin was so engrossed with his songs back then that she would practically collect every cassette of his at that time....

Like what i already mentioned, this collection comes with 3 cds, i would say every song bring out every single bit of memory in me...for example what i was doing back then, how the then eric fan cousin of mine was so crazyover him....disc 1 includes hits like "deng3" (wait), "he2 bi4 gu1 du2" (why lonely), "wo3 ai4 ni3" (i love you), "wo3 men2 shi4 zhui4 hao3 de peng2 you3" (we are the best frens), etc...disc 2 have "ni3 shi4 wo3 de wei2 yi1" (you are my only), "wei4 le ni3" (becos of u)....disc 3 is one of the cds which i have been looking for a while..its his first & only cantonese album released under Fame Records...though all are cover versions by other singers, by somehow just enjoy listening to it....

this is truly a collection not to be missed by fans of Eric Moo as all the best songs of Eric during Fame are included..and for those who are wondering who the hack is Eric Moo, give this album a try, take it as listening to new songs....(frankly speaking, as compared to chinese pop songs nowadays, those songs from the 80s and early 90s are really more "listenable" and "lasting"...oppss...sorry to all jay chou, jolin, SHE fans out there...who knows maybe fans of the mentioned singers will feel the same say, 10-15 yrs later..hehee....)

cny....

in a week's time it will be the chinese new year already...and i have not even gotten any new clothings. well....cny for me is bascially a gathering of my relatives...think thats the case for many of the typical "busy" singaporeans...i used the word busy cos i'm sure many of us will only see our relatives once a year, which is during this time of the year....used to like cny when i was much younger because it meant new clothes, new shoes....but as years go by, the excitment gets away.....mainly because there are now more things to spring clean before the big day arrives...and then have to start to get my own clothings, start Q-ing in front of the fitting room just to try on 1-2 pieces of clothing....and also as years go by, those relatives will ask "so when u getting married?", "got part-tor or not?", "work where now ah?", etc.....all these questions, i can expect to be asked year after year.....hmm...think thats the case for those who are unattached...then for those married but w/o kids....the questions will revolve "when have kids...?", ....hmm...what else.....oh yah..also as years go by, the no. ang pows simply gets lesser n lesser, in quantity and as well as in value!!...and i must say im still not shy to collect ang pows...hehe...the more the merrier....until the time when i have no choice but to give out ang pows myself....

2 movies...

went to watch 2 movies today... Rambo 4 & The Mist.....Both are quite exciting, esp The Mist. The Mist is yet another AVP type of movie...Alien- like creatures which feed on human...the ending is somehow unexpected...at least not what i had expected.. i had expected the main actors would have found a way to kill the monsters...and then the end...but then it was not to be...shall not disclose how's the ending...and also there's this couple who sat behind me...that lady kept talking and talking....when the strange monsters appear, she will say to the guy "aiyo...u see....that guy sure die one..." "sure got monster in the room one" & "aiya..why dun faster leave.." hellooo.....shut up please!!

As for Rambo 4, bascially, i did not watch the previous 3 parts...cos i dun really like war movies..and to my perception, that's how Rambo movies appear to me....and also the fact that how can one "super human" able to fight tens and hundreds of others, never die one.......nevertheless decided to give the latest edition a try....well....i must say i am pretty impressed with the movie...but then not so much so of the violence and bloody scenes...it talks abt how Sylvester went to the rescue of the special aid team....there were no stunts but lots of running, gun power, jungle....(reminds me of my in-camp training!!)

yup....so thats 2 movies back to back for me today....not too bad....

Cloverfield...

ouch ouch....my mouth ulcer still hurts after 2 days....and i keep biting myself on the same spot while eating...damn it....really spoilt my apetite lor...but nevertheless my mouth dun eat, my tummy still must eat...haha....think its getting bigger...some crappy people suggested putting salt on the wound!!....think she must have hate me alot horz....hahaha...

Anyway, went to watch Cloverfield today....was a crap movie....nothing exciting about this movie. Its about New York being created havoc by this monster...and the whole movie is abt this guy who took a videocam throughout the whole process...how they ran away from the monster...hmm..basically nothing much to write abt this movie except the actors were busy trying to escape from the monster...another thing is that the movie is presented in the view of the videocam....so the scenes were shaky when the actors were running....glad i was still able to walk out of the cinema without feeling giddy!!...

new post for the year....

hmm....this is the first post for the year 2008. tdy went to collect some documents due to the reason that my despatch guy went "mia"..so i have to personally go down to the clients' place to collect the documents back myself. to temasek towers and high street ctr, to be precise.

ok, the weather was bright and sunny when i stepped out of the office to the mrt station. my first stop was to be temasek towers. when i reached there, the sky was already dark, slight drizzle started dropping. ok..fine...document collected from there...then......on the way to the mrt station to go to the 2nd destination, i had a tummyache!!..wah piang..i hate doing "business" in public toilets..cos firstly they are not really that clean....and most importantly, toilet paper is a rare find in these toilets!! as i was searching high n low for one toilet, the "feeling" kept getting "high"...wth....actually having difficulty walking already!!...finally.....found one....and dash straight to it....damn it.....all occupied!!!,...no choice, didn't want to move and look for other alternatives....waited for while....soon.....someone came out....and i went to that cubicle....yah...i supposed the guy before me had a "smooth transaction" judging from the smell!!....anyway, i couldn't care anymore...just go and finish up whatever i had to do....ahhh.....the feeling was like getting rid of a load off my body....

ok....to the next stop @ high street....by this time, it already started to rain....decided to take a bus to the place...although it was only 1 stop away....ok...documents collected and when i came out of the building, it started pouring!!...oh my...ok...in my mind, i was thinking a ways of how to get back to the office in any possible way without getting wet...ok....thought of a way and boarded a bus....my inital thought was to alight at the bus stop near my office and then take the mrt underpass back to my office....yah....foolproof!!...ya right...my foot!!....when i alighted from the bus, there was supposed to be a covered walkway from the bus stop to the mrt station. yah...its covered...but the rain plus wind was so heavy and strong that the direction of the rain was practically falling sideways, along the walkway!!...anyone who walk pass will be drenched....ok fine..i waited a while for the rain to subside...hmm...but hey..no....it poured heavier!!...then i was thinking..aiya..what the heck lah....just run across abit....i did just that...and got wet.....not only from the rain, but from the pool of water that was collected....i actually stepped into a pool of water....sigh....shoes, socks were wet....finallly made it back to the office, and...guess what?? the rain stopped!..ok....thanks!!
